Magazine analysis

This is a magazine called sound on sound. as you see it has basic yet eye catching design to the mag, which usually means it based at people who are 18-50, although it's not really an age based on peoples age group but their interests in the context of the mag (which can range from all different ages)

the rule of thirds is seen, you can see the main title of the mag on top (the masthead) you can also see the dateline which shows how new the magazine is and if it's up to date. in the middle of the magazine you see the main cover line, in this case the use of design is basic yet bold and eye catching. This is because it wants to target an audience of all different ages so they keep as basic as possible. Its also targeted to all genders. the cover lines you see (underneath the main cover line) are all the same colour and same font. This keeps everything basic and tidy to suit the targeted audience. you can't see the barcode which is usually located on the back (if not at the front). The main image is basic and just shows you some of he context the magazine looks at. it also links in with the main cover line which is remote collaboration and shows on the picture what that is.

like most magazine covers it shows different things like prizes that can be won. In this case people have the chance to win a microphone which is worth $2500. this can be seen on the bottom left of the screen.
